No offense Gurus & teachers, i do respect your mission on earth, I know you are here to awaken more human beings, and to spread the light on the planet. The point is that many Gurus now sadly use spirituality as a tool to control others. They sometimes even reflect what they think on others instead of trying to really help them seek the truth within themselves. There are no steps that one can take to spiritual awakening; all the breathing, and meditation techniques out there are nothing but tools to help you relax your body, and quite your monkey mind so you can perceive beyond the limited physical dimension and expand your consciousness.
Everyone is different. The reason i encourage those who seek a profound spiritual awakening to seek the truth within themselves, is because everyone is different when it comes to the spiritual journey, every single person who takes the path of spiritual awakening gets his own unique experience in terms of what [S]he perceives, and what kind of communication is received. Yes! each and every one of us have a very unique personalized experience with God. And since everyone is different, i have to insist that what i write here may not apply for everybody, some people out there cannot make it without a teacher or a Guru, simply because this is the path they should take. I write those words to those who are starting to discover things on their own, and felt frustrated that they were told it cannot be done without a Guru.
The way to enlightenment takes 2 steps that are very simple. Tools like breathing techniques and meditation are very useful, and i do not advise against them, but my words are a reminder that our thoughts, and strong beliefs are what really matters.
Step 1: Ask and its given. yes it is that easy.With pure intent, ask God, angels, Jesus, The Tao, ascended masters... Whoever you have a strong believe in. Ask to be reminded of who you are and why you are here, and believe that you will get your answers clearly at the right time.
Step2: Allow. Once you ask with very pure intent, it is now time to allow the answer to be received. Many fall in the mistake of continuous asking. When we keep asking the same questions over and over again, this acts like a reset button that can keep you waiting forever. Once you ask, start to allow, enjoy your life, become very positive, passionate to others, meditate, and let things be.
We are spiritual beings by nature, we simply forget how perfect, and expanded we are because we are limited in a physical body, and going through a limited physical dimension. life stress, work, bills, family pressures... They make us forget who we are! but once we remember, we discover that every bit of knowledge and wisdom is within ourselves, not in books, radio shows, or Guru's speech.
