Energy Pressure Around The Head

Spiritual awakening is sometimes accompanied with physical feelings of energy flowing through the body, or building up around the the crown, and third eye chakras. This physical feeling of energy pressure around the the 3rd eye, and the crown chakras is one of the most common symptoms of spiritual awakening. I have personally struggled with this pressure for a very long time, until i finally figured out how to deal with it in a way that upgraded my whole energy body, and prepared my nervous system to channel more energy than before.
There is a big chance that you will benefit from my own experience, but i will also try to list other suggestions from other people who encountered the same symptom.

Why do we feel the energy pressure in the first place? Once we are spiritually awake, the upper chakras (crown & third eye) start to open first, and this causes the channeled energy to accumulate around the head causing a very strong pressure that can be painful at times. Eventually the throat chakra, and the heart chakra begin to open too, and this may lead to feelings of energy flushing through your  heart or throat. Pressure always means resistance, it means that there is something you are not allowing, or some physical tension that you are not relaxing; it may also mean that you are controlling your life instead of allowing it to naturally flow and unfold.

Now, if you are one of those who struggle with such symptom, here is a meditation that helped me a lot. Note that his meditation below can be adjusted to suit your own needs, and your own experience, be your own judge.

Step one: Sit in a very comfortable position and make sure that you will not be disturbed for at least 10 minutes. The position of your hand does not matter.

Step two: Breath mindfully, take 3-4 deep breath, feel and follow your breath as it goes in and out at a very slow pace.

Step three: Turn your attention to the pressure around your head but without any focus, do not try to force it to move or spin, just relax your head, relax your lips, your jaw, your forehead, and the back of your head. Do it gently and slowly, no rush.

Step four: Think of the pressure as water, and of yourself as a sponge, slowly absorb the pressure into the area that connects your head with your neck (the upper part of your neck) Feel is moving down through your neck very slowly.

Step five: start turning your attention to the are between your neck and shoulders, the pressure will distribute there moving through your shoulders, feel it filling your shoulders, and arms.

Step six: At this point you should already be feeling less pressure around your head, now absorb more of this energy into your upper back, and chest, and feel it move down gently and slowly until it reaches your feet then out to earth.

End your meditation once you feel that the energy is evenly distributed across your body. Think of your energy body as one big chakra surrounding your whole physical body, and expanding, allow it to get bigger and bigger.

Note: If you feel better during the meditation, it is recommended that you do it on daily basis, until the energy stays centered and balanced all the time.

Other suggestions: The below suggestions also came from many spiritual teachers, and they work for some, so in case the meditation does not help, you can go ahead and try those techniques.
  •  Quit meditation for a while and get involved into physical activities, just enjoy your life and ignore this pressure. Deal with it as background noise until it is gone.
  • Perform a yoga exercise.
  • Take a shower whenever the pressure feels so intense, water is grounding.
  • walk barefoot on natural ground, that is another way to ground yourself.
Know that the tools spoken of here are aimed to quicken your progress. If you can handle the pressure, or if you are enjoying its presence then do not fear anything, because eventually the energy will do you, other chakras will purify and open on their own and the energy will eventually flow in balance.     had very intense pressure in the upper back of my head, like being squeezed in from all sides and very dizzy
    it's quite a bit better now

    1. Thanks for your feedback, If you already have sensations of energy around your head, it should be easy for you to start directing this energy, just relax your mind and keep trying. There is no problem with these sensations, think of them as a continuous reminder to break free and develop spiritually, the sensations are there so you can make use of them and spread them to fill your whole body (all chakras), in other words, this is your soul starting to develop, and is using the sensations to give you messages, you now need to respond by awakening all other chakras to let the energy flow naturally across your whole energy body.

      As for good source, i always insist that the best source for anybody is their own experience, because this is really unique to each person.. What am giving you in my reply is based on my own experiences, and what works for most people, but always remember that you are the master of your own experience, what works for you may not work for others, just relax and do not think much about it, and know that this process once started, it continues to develop, your interaction and response to it only speeds the development :)
